Your Sunday News Assembly, for 9-29-24!
Breaking news, video links, and contextual information, to help peel those political onions!
Welcome, fellow Conspirators!
Because some of Saturday was devoted to the Rally for Peace and Freedom put on by Gerald Celente in Kingston, NY, we have a slightly different Assembly today. We have FIFTEEN breaking news stories, but THREE video links. As always, please feel free to read the entire Assembly, read parts, leave for a bit, and return, and to share the whole Assembly or the separate stories inside!
AND please be sure to head to Rumble or Rokfin at 6 PM eastern each M-F for the news, from Liberty Conspiracy LIVE! I try to supply as much big info to freedom fighters as I can, and our live audience is fantastic
This is a little window into the Saturday event, with a big tip of the proverbial hat to Redacted (that’s the logo on the baseball cap) and to the great David Knight! Watch David’s outstanding program, M-F, from 9 to noon, eastern time, and visit his site for all the links to where you can see the show live or in replays, segments, and/or in audio form!
Feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the Assembly, and you also can donate to help the Liberty Conspiracy, itself! Just visit PayPal to help out!
And now, as Mario and Luigi would say, “Let’s-a GO!”
ONE!
I'll start with what's fresh and frightening, tariff-wise, and the lessons the news exposes. Actually, I use "news" loosely when looking at this particular "article," because it's more of a puff piece to push for tariffs and describe them as beneficial, which, on both the moral and economic levels, they are not. There are a ton of coming new tariffs, mostly against Chinese-originating goods, as established Friday, and the author here seems blissfully in favor of "protectionism" for US "interests." First of all, on a moral level, it's immoral to tell people that if they want to buy something from one person in one land they have to pay the federal government an extra fee. Practically, that makes it harder for consumers to get what they want for less, leaving less left in their pockets to save an invest, spend on a new item (possibly made in the US) or start their own business. We try to toil LESS, not MORE for what we need in life. As Jim Bovard has noted in "The Fair Trade Fraud," consumers are harmed about 8x more than the help a tariff gives to specific companies, that is now no longer leverageable capital that could be turned into productive investment by individuals. Second, tariffs are gamed by special domestic interests that try to block the less expensive competition, usually, because they cannot compete for the consumer in a free market. That political vector cannot be eliminated from the system. Third, the nations in which the tariff-hit companies operate typically RETALIATE with tariffs on our exports. FOURTH, as one can see early on in this absurdist piece from NBC News, the tariffs the US or other nations apply to, say, Chinese or Russian goods, create a profit window for third parties to buy from the source, then RESELL to the nations, like the US or other nations, that originally applied the tariff or full block against the product coming directly to the consumers. Beneath the link for the NBC article, I'll offer an example of how the US and EU "blocks" against Russian energy exports actually see Indian companies buy the Russian output, then RESELL it for their own chunk of profit, and costing end-consumers MORE.

Biden’s new tariffs on Chinese goods are mostly symbolic. Here’s why.
New U.S. tariffs on $18 billion in Chinese goods take effect Friday as trade tensions intensify between the world’s two largest economies.

Here's what is happening in Europe, due to the insane blocks of Russian energy. In the end, the consumer STILL pays more than they have to, because domestic product is scarce and expensive (hence, uncompetitive, and pushing for blocks or tariffs, generally) and because the new third-party-sold alternative sees prices up a bit because the third party takes a certain amount of profit. Indian resellers are going gangbusters!

Ahh, yes, lessons in economics, freedom, and coercion... Here's another piece on the immorality and insanity of tariffs, via REASON.

RebelNews has a very good report on how Amish farmers have been devastated by Justin Trudeau's COVID order that people who cross back and forth from Canada and back must use an "app" called ArriveCan. Obviously, they DON'T USE SMARTPHONES. Oh, man... Good video here as well!
The New American has a good piece on this, too...

Ontario’s Amish community is being fined $300,000 ($222,660 U.S. dollars) for not downloading the Canadian government’s Covid app.

Okay, most everyone knows that Amazon sells books, lots of them fiction, and they offer fictive film and TV via Amazon Prime. Is this part of their "keep up the fiction" design? Hiring Brian — cited LIAR — Williams to handle election night coverage? Isn't there someone else, someone less saddled by the lie-bags, to hire? How difficult is it to find a NOT-LIAR to handle the news? LINK!

Here we go again. More unconstitutional Executive Orders to crush both freedom of speech (3-D printing is based on digital instructions) and the right to keep and bear arms. PLUS, a bonus of messing with local schools, even MORE! What a thrill!
And, of course, if Congress did this, it would be no more constitutional or ethical. LINK!

Now, why in the world would Wyden push this? It's just too hard to figure out. By the way, it was nice that he asked James Clapper if the NSA was collecting phone user data without their knowledge (or public warrants) years ago, but when Clapper lied to him, he never called for Jimmy to be prosecuted for perjury. The CA energy commission is ready to make even more expensive and politically-loaded the high-taxed energy/fuel people want there. They even propose OWNING refineries. This follows on the news I recently found that they want to regulate the natural gas depots along the coast so much that a basic moratorium will be on them. INSANE? Yeah. LINK! The headline misses the point, the CA and federal govts are killing the gas industry. Natural markets allow for growth based on demand.
How will the state manage the slow death of California's gasoline industry?
California might get into the gasoline refinery business to ensure stable supplies as demand ebbs. Industry officials say that's a recipe for higher gas prices.
www.latimes.com
Here's a pertinent quote:
"Beyond a minimum inventory mandate for gasoline storage, the possibilities include a limit on retail gasoline profit margins; a state lease or ownership of storage tanks and the gasoline that would fill them; a state lease or ownership of oceangoing tankers that hold emergency supplies of gasoline; and even a state takeover of one or more gasoline refineries."

Derrick Broze has a very good piece covering the UN Pact for the Future-ure-ure-ure, which was adopted this week in NY. Derrick hits on what he's been able to find in the document, and he gets into a number of key facets, such as medical freedom and privacy, and the fact that the "emergency platforms" or executable mechanisms to enforce UN edicts, have been removed, replaced with softer language that, likely will be revised when the political heat is less intense. Here's his report.

Here's another example of the oft-repeated error of people citing the First Amendment of the US Constitution when they should be looking at the state constitution (which also protects freedom of speech/press) Here's the link to a Texas tale of politicians targeting a reporter to exclude him from press conferences because he criticized them.

THIRD! This is from our Friday Liberty Conspiracy program, a conversation with Franco Mattei, aka Angry Tiger, on the state of the economy, and how we can learn about the dangerous of government money, fractional reserve banking, and those who would try to control our freedom to engage in peaceful commerce. If you want a good overview of the Austrian School analysis of the boom-bust cycle, this might be a great place to begin! Thank you, Tiger! Here is his X!
That’s it for the Assembly today! Thank you, everyone :) Please feel free to spread the word, offer your comments in chat, and help others learn about all the keys of freedom, from markets, to privacy, to speech, to parental control and education, and much MORE!
You can watch, listen, and join the chat as we broadcast M-F at 6 PM on ROKFIN and Rumble and you can find our other, recorded, material on Odysee, Bitchute, and YouTube. Also! If you’d like to get some of my fiction, grab my current novellas at Amazon and Barnes and Noble!! As a rocking start, I recommend “Fishing” as a dark, well-composed crime tale with some very unusual turns (this contains some scenes of dark violence, so please, be warned)…
…Or feel free to get “Bite” for a different take on vampirism, and “Wall” for a cryptoarcheological adventure set in 1960s China. And I have three novels and two more novellas in their final editing phases, soon to be on the way!
Please spread the news that segments of Liberty Conspiracy LIVE are being rebroadcast on Free Talk Live! The good people of FTL asked me to provide six segments from the week for a Friday night radio and online broadcast that is carried at 7 PM, eastern! It’s a way for me to help them as their co-founder, Ian Freeman, works on his appeal after the feds unjustly punished him for dealing in cryptocurrencies, and Free Talk Live helps me get our audio segments to a larger audience! Go to this link at 7 pm on Fridays to listen to FTL! Of course, it means that for part of Friday nights, I’m doing my LIVE Liberty Conspiracy show and competing against myself!! :) Thank you for your positive reception to the ideas and the scholarship of freedom. God bless!
