Sununu signs voter ID law, Democrats threaten lawsuits
(The Center Square) – In a move that goes into effect after this year's election cycle, New Hampshire strengthened its voting laws by eliminating voter identification exceptions. The new law signed by Gov. Chris Sununu signifies a win for Republicans, who are eager to strengthen voting laws nationwide. Sununu praised the Republican-backed bill, cit...

In the same vampire-desired vein, there's this, from Minnesota, and I was able to use it as a launch-point on Liberty Conspiracy Thursday night. Walz appears to have allowed non-citizen-but-legal-residents to vote in MN. Some GOP-ers are upset about that. But, philosophically, this is a great example of the blinders of statism. These GOP-ers are angry that some folks from outside their sphere of MN and the US were allowed to vote on how their lives will be run. If that upsets them, then why not look at people as people and say, regardless of the place that is outside the sphere, it's people voting on whether to run others, and to what extent. SO, why should they complain about these folks from outside the US voting when people from outside MN vote to effect lives in MN? How about in the statehouse voting to effect what will be done in MN towns that aren't their hometowns? And that leads to the logical endpoint, which is, if it is unacceptable to allow people "outside your boundaries," be they physical or statutory, to vote on how others will live, why is it acceptable for people other than yourself to vote on how you live? The answer is clear. It isn't acceptable, and only individuals have a valid claim over their own actions. Here's the story from Walzland!

It sure is good that the politicians simultaneously can push CAFE standards so high that by 2035 virtually no new internal combustion engine cars will be legal to sell, while, at the same time, subsidizing US EV makers (even as those EV makers and others see their sales plummeting everywhere but in the government-buy market) and they can then try to block cheaper Chinese EVs that, curiously, are built more cheaply in part due to the fact that the plants get their power from the multitude of Chinese coal plants creating electricity. The command-and-control system sure does have a lot of arrogant people behind it. LINK!

If one were to read most of the pop news media reports on the rebellion by Stellantis dealers who signed a letter of complaint to the CEO over the increasingly troubling direction of the corporation that handles Chrysler and Jeep, one would have to read between the lines to see that the dealers don't want the EVs that are in the corporate plans, and they are unable to get the popular lines they used to sell because, as Eric Peters explains in the second of the two I'll offer for refence, the feds are imposing such regulatory expense, the company can't make them anymore. Leave it to Eric to dig into the real of it. Here's the first, superficial look, from Bloomberg.

Although in the past day it appeared as if the US and UK were NOT going to support "NATO" (read: the US and UK) giving more long-range weapons and technical support to Ukraine to hit Russian targets, NATO (read: the US and UK working through proxy voices) appears ready to do it. Already, numerous weapons systems ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile Systems) for example, that Ukraine has used to kill Russians have required US or UK tech support, including satellite telemetry. Putin has been very patient, trying to focus only on his goals to purge the Nazi-tied, fake, US-imposed Ukraine regime and rescue the thousands in areas like the Donbass that have been victimized by the Ukranian govt since 2014. Putin this week again called out NATO, the US, and UK, and NATO is responding with more belligerence. This is insane. And it has nothing to do with the US Constitution.
NATO military committee chair, others back Ukraine's use of long range weapons to hit Russia
PRAGUE (AP) — The head of NATO's military committee said Saturday that Ukraine has the solid legal and military right to strike deep inside Russia to gain combat advantage — reflecting the beliefs of a number of U.S. allies — even as the Biden administration balks at allowing Kyiv to do so using American-made weapons. “Every nation that is attacked has the right to defend itself. And that right doesn’t stop at the border of your own nation,”...

Blinken and the "State Department" are tied to so many unconstitutional activities that this is almost stunningly laughable. As Kim Iversen said, is the US going to cite the BBC for offering reports in the US? How about the CBC? Where is it allowed in the US Constitution for the feds to stifle ANYONE, regardless of the origin of the opinion or report? If they want to do this, and want to go after the two RT employees who started Tenet Media (I've seen no actual US Justice Department charges brought against RT, itself, just those two mployees) for not registering w FARA, they need to tell people how even the Foreign Agents Registration Act (as logical as it might at first appear) comports with the First Amendment. It doesn't. If a foreigner wants to try to lobby someone in Congress, to get a redress of grievances, there is nothing in the US Constitution that lets Congress people force them to "register" with their identity, sources of funding, or anything like that. As much as people might WANT that to happen. They need to amend their Constitution do allow for it. This, the latest official nonsense from Blinken, who must be frustrated that he can't have more pizza in that Ukrainian restaurant that was piled with Nazi regalia, is astounding. They actually are applying "sanctions" to RT. And recall that the "Global Engagement Center" is what has been part of the federal system of funneling money to US orgs like NewsGuard and the Virality Project (at Stanford) and that the US Congress just passed $1.6 BILLION to promulgate propaganda in CHINA! As Responsible Statecraft notes that's double the operating expense of CNN worldwide.
Here's the story on that latter development.

Here is one portion of RT's response. This coming after the US govt already has used our tax cash to hassle Scott Ritter and others, simply for doing stringer work or other commentary for RT.
The Deep State people are taking their "Russian Meddling" rhetoric from 2016 and ramping it up to kinetic war levels, to Sedition Act levels. John Adams likely never could have imagined this kind of insanity.

Sooo, when collectivists at the WAPO (here) n' elsewhere say that freer speech on things like X is a threat to "OUR democracy," not only are they parroting a false narrative about the US being a "democracy" (as if gang rule is juuuust the thing for freedom) they seem to have two minds on democratization. This is stunning. I got to discuss this Thursday with folks on my streaming show, and it indicates to me that the politicians (and the author) don't understand the Equal PROTECTION clause of the 14th Amendment, they also don't seem to understand that there is no such thing as a "Trans Minor", just like there is no such thing as a minor who can give consent to engage in sexual relations with an adult. As I mentioned to the audience, this also makes me wonder about how proponents such as these DC politicians (who used our money to issue the brief) view that analogue issue of protecting minors from sexual predation. If, for example, they think it's not okay for an adult to prey on a minor in that sexual way, then how can it be okay for an adult doctor to mutilate a child's sexual organs? And if the proponent of "gender-affirming healthcare" (as they rename MUTILATION) might claim that the sexual predator is different because he or she is getting "pleasure" from the predatory act, while the doctor is "different, because he's doing a service," then how does one look at the doctor's payment and him deriving satisfaction from that? Here is the story, which centers on 160 DC Dems who filed a SCOTUS brief in support of plaintiffs in TN who want legal child mutilation – and they certainly don't understand the 14th A... LINK!
