Like the EU, New Zealand's govt has had BIIIG plans to force AIRLINES to switch their passenger jets to BIOFUELS. Seriously. And, now, as shocking as it might seem, "Air New Zealand", the biggest carrier in NZ, is saying NO, not going to happen by your 2030 date.
‘The industry cannot be trusted to reduce their own emissions’: Airline drops 2030 climate target
‘Silver bullets’ like SAF allow airlines to delay meaningful action, says one campaign group. View on euronews

Here's how things look in the EU. They want 85% biofuels by 2050.
EU aviation should gradually switch to sustainable fuel, such as synthetic fuel, used cooking oil or even hydrogen, to help EU become climate neutral by 2050.
www.europarl.europa.eu
Thusfar, the passed EU mandate is 70% biofuels by 2050. This will price many passengers out of the market and increase costs for items shipped by plane.
Parliament backs law to boost green aviation fuels in EU flights
The European Parliament gave the green light on Wednesday (13 September) to new rules that will increase the quantity of sustainable jet fuel in flights departing from EU airports, marking a major step towards reducing emissions from the notoriously carbon-intensive transport mode.

TWO!
This new Eighth Circuit decision, blocking the state of Minnesota from prohibiting gun "licenses" for people aged 18-20 is a big one, buuuuut, of course, it reaches a positive conclusion by utilizing a faulty approach to the Second Amendment.
As Stephen Halbrook notes (his history-based books on gun rights are excellent) for Reason, Judge Duane Benton wrote the majority decision here, and it hinges partially on the recent Rahimi decision (about the man who had a restraining order on him and was blocked from having a gun, per an interpretation of the 1968 Gun Control Act) and partially on the "Second level" of "Bruen Standard" analysis from two years ago in the NY Rifle and Pistol Assoc v Bruen SCOTUS ruling. In this case, as Halbrook correctly notes, the judge determined that blocking people who are under 21 from getting gun "licenses" is substantively different from blocking a person with a restraining order on him. This, I should note, is false. A restraining order is applied without any conviction of a crime or normal due process, thus, just like the people under 21 were not convicted of crimes, so is the person on whom the government has placed a "restraining order." Additionally, if a person is not in prison, and not under arrest, then the government must deem him either safe enough to be in society, or the government has not proven a case in court to remove that person from society and place him in jail. Anyone with a brain can ask the government goons: "If you think this person is okay to not be in jail, then why is he not safe enough to exercise his right to keep and bear arms?"
Finally, the Judge also strays when looking at the "age" restriction and studying that through the lens of the "Second Level" of Bruen. The "First Level" requires courts to see if a gun-grab statute conforms with the wording of the Second Amendment. But the "Second Level" lets courts see if the statute in question is analogous to some historical example of a gun-grab. Meaning, the "Second Level" undercuts the "First Level" because "First Level" requires courts to see if a statute breaches the strict wording of the 2A, and that wording says, "SHALL NOT BE INFINGED." SO... An infringement of any kind... Would not stand under the "First Level" – it's so dumb, my head hurts thinking about it. In this case, the 8th Circuit ruled that there was no historical analogue to stopping people between 18 and 21 from having guns. No kidding. Nathan Hale had barely turned 21 when he was killed by the Brits in the Revolution. Here's Halbrook's piece:

This is another big one, via National Pulse, telling us that the Bidenistas have ENDED the "migrant parole" program that the Center for Immigration Studies revealed last year already had flown 300,000 people anywhere they desired in the US, and, essentially, allowing them to disappear. Also in gun news, we see this ruling that, like the earlier ruling, splits hairs. How hard is it to comprehend, "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED"? Again, we see the judge (in this case, US District Judge Sheridan) ruling that, well, the AR-15 should not be banned by NJ because, like other firearms at the time of the founding, it is currently in popular use. Which implies both that a firearm that might not be in common use can be banned, and, second, that the founding era Americans might have banned any NEW firearm. That, therefore, implies that no new firearm could be invented without it being at risk of being banned, which is not only absurd, it doesn't comport with the phrase, er... SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. Then, the judge says that "large capacity magazines" can be banned because they didn't have "large capacity magazines" in 1789. The definition of "large capacity" is completely arbitrary, and the idea that magazines for rounds now can be banned because they allow more bullets than what the Founding Era folks were used to kind of misses the point that the Revolution Era people used musket balls and the very idea of a "magazine" was not something in "common use." Just amazing how these people in govt are willing to overlook rights, the strict wording of the US Constitution, and basic logic...
Gun-Grabbers Routed: Judge Says AR-15 Is Not an ‘Assault Firearm,’ Ban Ruled Unconstitutional
Gun-grabbers are being routed as a judge's ruling may upset a decades-old ban on popular sporting rifles. Affluent liberals will do nearly anything to parade their own perceived moral virtue, including fleecing their neighbors at gunpoint.
