Abbott is doing something that many Texas residents might want to know. And, as I mentioned on X, with the sad mix of state funds and mandates on hospitals in TX and virtually every state, what should be a clear and easy, "This breaches the Fourth Amendment" becomes blurred by extant government involvement prir to this Exec Order. Check it out!
On Thursday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) issued an executive order mandating all hospitals and healthcare providers to report the number of visits and costs incurred by illegal immigrants. Abbott’s executive order will go into effect Nov. 1, with hospitals expected to report all data to the Health and Human Services Commission by March 1, 2025. […]

A lot of folks are concentrating on Walz's multi-year tactic of blurring the lines about his military record. Now, the Harris gang are trying to smooth it over. But he's been pumpin' up the volume on his military record since at least 2009, when a man recorded his visit to Walz' state congressional office to ask a staffer about it.
The recent video that has generated a lot of conservative umbrage is something that Mike Cernovich and others have posted on X. It shows Walz saying he wants to "protect the Second Amendment" with what he calls "common sense" legislation. What he actually proposes are a series of attacks on the Second Amendment, a federal prohibition of ALL INFRINGMENTS of the right to keep and bear arms. He want to prevent "reciprocal carry" – in other words, when people in their home states get gun "licenses" (which already are infringements on their rights), he doesn't want to see other states respect those licenses. Tough for him that the "Full Faith and Credit" clause of the US Constitution requires any state to offer reciprocal validity to any legal document from any other state. I guess he's not familiar with that. Many people are not focusing on his stew of anti-rights, unconstitutional gun-grab proposals in that clip that has gotten so much attention for his "carried weapons of war in war" comment. Not only does he offer something he has not substantiated, the US wasn't even in a Declared War, so none of the soldiers actually carried weapons during "War." I'd love to slice up his video statements here (the video - linked). And it would be fun to tell more folks about how the Harris hounds are trying to smooth out his "War" claims. The video also is embedded in the below link, but hidden behind some ads that play, first...
Tim Walz 'misspoke' about using weapons ‘in war,' Harris campaign says: report
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Kamala Harris' running mate whose military service has come under heavy scrutiny, "misspoke" in a 2018 video where he is heard talking about his handling of weapons "in war," the Harris campaign says.

And here's more on the "stolen valor" thing. When the entire system operates via taxation, how valorous is it to begin with? Someone did a good job finding this clip.
And here is more, from Breitbart.
Commander Confirms Tim Walz Knew of Upcoming Deployment Before Retiring
Former commander retired Army Command Sergeant Major Doug Julin confirmed Friday that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, now Democrat vice presidential candidate, knew months in advance he would deploy to Iraq well before choosing to retire and miss the deployment.

This is good to see, but it inspires thoughts of why the right seems to have given up on opposing welfarism in general, be the recipients illegal immigrants, their offspring, or "citizens" of the US. It also allows one to recall the Supreme Court's (John Roberts') mental contortions when they allowed the challenge to Obamacare in 2014 by saying the "ACA" penalty was a "fine,' contrary to Obama's claim that it was merely a tax. Roberts knew that something called the "Anti-injunction Act" prevented people from bringing suits on taxation into federal courts until the plaintiffs actually had paid the tax. Buuuut, when Roberts and his leftist majority ruled Obamacare's mandates on insurance companies and people "constitutional," he ruled that the "fine" he saw when bringing in the ACA for review was... Yep... A "Tax." Incredible, and Biden wants children of illegal immigrants to get on the ACA. How about recognizing the ACA as immoral welfarism from the outset? Here's the link!
15 states sue to block Biden's effort to help migrants in US illegally get health coverage
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Fifteen states filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against the Biden administration over a rule that is expected to allow 100,000 immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children to enroll next year in the federal Affordable Care Act's health insurance. The states are seeking to block the rule from taking effect Nov. 1 and providing people known as “Dreamers” access to tax breaks when they sign up for coverage. The...

This is beautiful. The NYC transit workers are upset, saying, essentially, "How are we gonna stay running if we don't charge people who don't use our trains, ya, know, people who DRIVE?!" Thus, one might consider the fact that no public transit system in the history of the world has run in the black. They ALWAYS charge people who don't use the systems. They do it through taxation, and the unions syphon off the graft. If the systems could sustain themselves, they could go private, show profit, and show benefits to people. Govt – not so much.

Here's a really immoral idea. And it's piled atop the extant encroachment into private property rights and control of pedagogy that is the government-run school system. Just amazing, but not surprising! Going back to the 1907 Jacobson SCOTUS decision, which allowed the state of MA to fine a religious man who would not get jabbed, one can see the evil in this idea that the state can control "public" health and, as an extension of that pernicious claim, eliminate the rights of any individual in favor of the government-preferred definition of "public" (anything)... This is one of numerous pieces/videos exposing Walz's leveraging of the COVID insanity under Trump and Biden to shovel the cash to nutty destinations. What's curious is that many reporters avoid mentioning the initial unconstutionality and immorality of the tax-fed, federally-packaged, COVID funds in the first place.

Here's another good one, from Reason, indicating how impossible it is to uphold rights in any collectivist system that, at the outset, exists only through the infringement of rights. Do kids have "free speech rights"? Well, argued within a sphere where people are forced to pay for the school system, thus infringing on their rights to retain their property, the rights issue already is answered as "people don't have rights when the government tells them they don't." It's sad that so few people can't see the answer to these questions, which is private education, where parental preferences for their kids and how much they can "speak" without being chastised or punished can be addressed without tying others to it without their consent. Check this out.

Remember when Congress took the nutty and immoral step to say that criticism of the state of Israel was "antisemitism"? Well, even as the Biden Admin and Congress unconstitutionally shove another $3.5 BILLION in weapons to Israel (and they continue the lip-service of "we expect them to not commit criminal acts" blather – a total double-standard), they offer this ALSO unconstitutional move as another form of "we care" cover. Regardless of one's position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, this Biden move is absurd and clearly a violation of free speech.

Here's an idea... How about NOT having the feds handle any of this? Again, it's projection to think that one's preferences for defense cash are being undercut, when another taxpayer might have a different idea of what that "defense" ought to be. The climate scaremongers want ESG, while people who might be closer to my own position on the climate canard might think the US should handle the internet cables. How about not forcing my neighbor to pay for either? Arguing that the net "safety" is "for" my neighbor's security still is a reworking of the force-rhetoric, seeing government claim that they know better than my neighbor what ought to be "secured" and to what extent. How far does this "protection" go? Into each home? Can the government inspect every home to be sure it has sufficient "internet protection"? Both of these sides in the piece below are based on assumptions for other people's earnings and preferences.
