Trump continues to spew war rhetoric, breaching the MoU even as Israel continues its aggression in Lebanon (and Gaza, and the West Bank, and Jerusalem, and Syria). As Larry Johnson noted a few days ago, and he reiterates today, US forces appear to be ramping down and (at least for now), heading out of the Persian Gulf region.
No, there is not an Iranian plot to kill Trump. Though the very War Crimes system the US helped set up should put him on trial as a war criminal, and the sentence for such crimes, should he be convicted, likely would be death. As an anarchist, I can’t support any statist system of purported justice, but this is how the “international system” is supposed to work.
On July 9, 2026, the European Parliament voted to extend a temporary 2021 derogation allowing voluntary scanning by platforms of unencrypted messages for known child sexual abuse material until April 2028, using a controversial urgent procedure after its April 2026 expiration.
The measure is voluntary rather than mandatory, limited to specific CSAM detection in non-encrypted services, and excludes end-to-end encryption like WhatsApp; broader permanent “Chat Control” rules remain under separate negotiation.
