We had a great time tonight on the live program, and got to start by studying the fallacies built into the idea that government can “protect” people from or “prepare” for natural disasters. How much meets your personal threshold for “preparedness”? That’s a subjective measurement, and when storm “recovery” or “response” or “preparedness” is defined by the state/government, it introduces the Tragedy of the Commons and gets everyone bickering, trying to steer resources where they want them, and also retards the keys to better survival of naturally destructive events: lower prices for goods (thanks to productivity gains in a competitive market) and the ability to see how others work and learn from their failure and success. The presence of government “protection” causes personal responsiveness and awareness to atrophy, leading to harsher outcomes, and government subsidies tend to inspire people to stay in areas that are not sufficiently safe for their well being. We look at the matter, inspired by the political bickering over the “government’s response” that should not even be happening. We also look at the government attacks on peace advocates in the UK, advocates who simply call for the UK to stop sending weapons to the genocidal Israeli Offense Forces, we look at Netanyahu’s meeting with Trump and the new Israeli government calls for total takeover in Gaza, we study the digital privacy invasions of ICE and the Trump tariff attack returning, and we study Trump’s threats against BRICS. That, plus a study of how Tony Blair’s “institute” is tied to the bloodthirsty “develop Gaza into a ‘Riviera’” movement, and how the Trump gang has massively increased the number of federal employees compared to this time last year.
