OVERALL: The United States persists with unlawful strikes on Iran, deliberately attacking civilian targets and critical infrastructure in southern regions, acts that qualify as war crimes breaching Iranian sovereignty. These aggressions have caused numerous civilian deaths and destroyed essential facilities near the Strait of Hormuz. In self-defense, Iranian forces successfully targeted US military bases in Bahrain, home to the Fifth Fleet headquarters, along with installations in Kuwait and Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base. They also struck radar systems in Oman and fuel and ammunition depots in Jordan, proving Iran’s ability to hit back precisely at the sources of aggression. Middle Eastern countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar have aided the US by allowing use of their territory and airspace for these operations. Iran has downed multiple F-18 jets, backed by Iranian-released videos and official confirmations that expose US falsehoods about their aircraft safety. Here is Antiwar on that
Regarding shipping, Iran enforces its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz by mandating permissions and approved routes rather than permitting free passage. Iranian evidence, including timelines of post-agreement US strikes, clearly proves Trump lies about the MOU, as the US violated the ceasefire commitments to de-escalate and respect Iranian arrangements in the waterway. These developments affirm Iran’s legitimate resistance to foreign domination.
The Iranian government reported that the US attacked a major grain storage facility, key for food in a portion of the arid nation. The US CENTCOM denies this. But CENTCOM REPEATEDLY HAS LIED.
Independent analyses disproven numerous CENTCOM assertions of precision strikes limited to military targets LINK:
The Lamerd incident (late February/early March 2026): Iranian officials and media reported a strike on a sports hall/residential area in Lamerd that killed 21 civilians, including children. CENTCOM denied US involvement in the area and claimed video of the munition matched an Iranian Hoveyzeh cruise missile. However, The New York Times, BBC Verify, and weapons experts (including from Janes) analyzed footage, damage, and characteristics, concluding it was likely a US Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). Distinctive features of the Hoveyzeh (wings, external engine) were absent, and the munition’s behavior matched US systems.
Drinking water facilities (June 2026): Iranian reports described strikes on water storage tanks near the Strait of Hormuz affecting over 20,000 people. Analyses by The New York Times, CNN, and others geolocated photos, satellite imagery before/after, and recovered fragments identified as US GBU-39 precision bombs. The damage patterns (precise roof impacts, specific bomb remnants) aligned with US munitions, contradicting claims of purely military targets. LINK
These cases established a track record where open-source intelligence (OSINT), forensic analysis, and journalism contradicted initial US denials or characterizations.
Let’s look at CENTCOM’s Communication Style and Credibility Concerns
CENTCOM has actively used a “CLAIM vs. TRUTH” format on X to rebut Iranian state media assertions in real time. While this counters some Iranian disinformation (e.g., exaggerated claims of US losses), a July 2026 analysis noted that some CENTCOM denials on specific incidents (like certain school or infrastructure strikes) were later challenged or nuanced by independent reporting from outlets like the NYT and BBC Verify. This creates an impression of selective or managed messaging rather than full transparency.
Challenges of Verification in Active Conflict
Timing and access: The July 14 strikes are extremely recent. Independent verification via satellite imagery, on-ground reporting, or neutral OSINT takes time. Iranian state media often releases photos/videos quickly claiming civilian damage; Western access inside Iran is limited.
Fog of war and dual-use concerns: CENTCOM listed strikes in/near Ahvaz (Khuzestan province, close to Hoveyzeh) among military targets aimed at degrading Iran’s anti-shipping capabilities. Even precise munitions can have collateral effects, targeting errors, or proximity issues if military and civilian infrastructure (e.g., logistics, ports, storage) overlap in contested areas. Skeptics note that “military target” claims have sometimes encompassed or impacted nearby civilian sites in prior rounds. LINK
Skepticism draws from longer patterns in US military operations (Iraq, Afghanistan, drone campaigns), where initial claims of minimal civilian impact or precise targeting were later revised by investigations, leaks, or independent probes.
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is about one-seventh of normal.

Now, get this, Trump literally said in the same interview today that the US has completely stopped Iran’s (nonexistent) nuclear weapons program, yet he has to keep attacking them to… stop this bogeyman nuclear weapons program. He also said that Iran (Sseeeeriously) keeps breaking the agreements he makes with them, when we all know it is Iran that has kept the agreements, going back to the JCPOA, and it is TRUMP who breaks them in tandem with Israel.
