As you likely know, the US loves using “terrorist” and “national security” as Barnum words to engender public support for govt plans. So, as we close in on the 25th Anniversary of 9-11, which, obviously, saw figures in the US government involved in the planning and execution of the controlled demolition of the towers in NYC, and a lot more, we can recall how closely Trump and others have worked with the very same people whom they call “terrorists”
IRAN

And Iran today launched at least one anti-ship missile against one of the “small-boats” used to move oil between coastline and larger tankers outside the Strait.
THE US cannot hide from their clear intent to kill
This is a very valuable (and lengthy/detailed) refutation of the claim that Iran was working on nuclear weapons and “within weeks of developing one”. David Stockman really hits a proverbial home-run here
The US Forces southeast of the Gulf of Oman (and even further southeast of the Strait of Hormuz) are facing resupply problems.

JD VANCE’S HYPOCRISY/LIES
This segment says a lot about Vance’s endless capacity to lie… (more commentary, below)…
…The US killed 200 people without trial in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific prior to attacking Venezuela. The US pursued multiple tankers, contrary to any portion of the US Constitution and contrary to international maritime law. The US - without any Constitutional Declaration of War - has attacked numerous nations and killed thousands of civilians under Trump, alone, be it through direct kinetic attacks such as the school in Minab, Iran, or Yemen (where the US hit a cancer ward, in addition to other civilian targets) or by providing technical and arms assistance to proxies. The faux upset Mr. Vance displays also glosses over trade route disputes btwn China and the Philippines.
MORE LIES: If he is not familiar enough with this tax-funded mass-murder that was ordered by HIS Administration, perhaps he is not suited to be in his already illegitimate position of power over others.

ISRAELI GENOCIDE MACHINE IN GAZA
This is a good preface for this segment. Despite Piers Morgan being very full of double-standards, he IS open to a wide range of guests, many of whom offer valuable truths.
On August 24, Israeli aircraft struck a site in Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. Palestinian officials, residents, and multiple news outlets reported that the strike destroyed a recently built or recently operating desalination plant that had been supplying water to local families and displacement shelters. Separately, on September 2, 2026, Israel’s national water company Mekorot halted pipeline water deliveries to Gaza for at least that day. This occurred while five of Israel’s six Mediterranean desalination plants were offline because of an algae bloom that made seawater too turbid to process. UNICEF said the halt contributed to shortages affecting nearly one million people in Gaza that day.
UKRAINE-RUSSIA

JOBS REPORT
Headline: “August jobs report delivers unexpectedly strong news for US economy” LINK
The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ August 2026 Employment Situation report, showing a 162,000 rise in nonfarm payrolls, warrants skepticism. The monthly Current Employment Statistics survey repeatedly has overstated job growth, later requiring large downward revisions. The February 2026 annual benchmark cut March 2025 payroll employment by 898,000. A preliminary benchmark issued August 28 subtracted another 79,000 jobs through March 2026. These corrections followed months of overly high monthly figures throughout 2025 and early 2026.A growing share of adults has also stopped looking for work. Labor-force participation stood at 61.6 percent in August, down from 62.3 percent a year earlier. Seasonally adjusted data show more than two million additional people outside the labor force compared with August 2025. Because they are not actively seeking jobs, they do not appear in the official unemployment rate, which held steady at 4.1 percent. The headline payroll total further inflates the appearance of strength by treating every position the same. It does not separate full-time from part-time work and does not disclose how many counted jobs are second or third positions held by one person. Household-survey tables reveal 8.5 million multiple jobholders, or 5.2 percent of the employed. Another 4.4 million people worked part time for economic reasons. These details sit in secondary tables rather than the lead figure, allowing the official release to project more robust job creation than the underlying composition supports.Combined with earlier overstatements that later needed sizable downward adjustments, the decline in labor-force attachment and the mixing of part-time and multiple jobs in the headline number suggest the latest gain should be interpreted cautiously.
Here is a great example of how politicians choose data to fit certain expedient narratives. The August 2026 employment report (released today) showed total nonfarm payrolls rising 162,000 and manufacturing adding 16,000 jobs, continuing what BLS described as an upward trend of 58,000 manufacturing jobs since a December 2025 low. Lincicome’s post (below) and the accompanying QCEW chart highlight a large discrepancy between that monthly Current Employment Statistics (CES) survey and the more comprehensive Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages. QCEW, built from near-universal unemployment-insurance tax records rather than a sample, recorded a 159,000-job manufacturing decline from March 2025 to March 2026. The monthly CES figures for the same span showed a much smaller drop (around 68,000–75,000). Because CES is a sample that is later benchmarked to QCEW, the earlier understatement of losses raises the possibility that the recent CES uptick in manufacturing employment is also overstated and could be revised downward once later QCEW data are incorporated. Lincicome himself noted a possible summer rebound while emphasizing that the gold-standard numbers showed no tariff-driven manufacturing jobs boom in the prior year.

US FASCISM, CONTINUED
This week, we saw the US announce an absurd fascist “public-private partnership” to get a 35% share in Venezuelan oil output plus a guaranteed 20% of the gross. There’s a new wrinkle here… Scott Lincicome’s post highlights Congress quietly rejecting legislation that would have explicitly authorized the Pentagon/OSC to take equity stakes in private companies. He argues this should render the existing deals (including the Venezuela one) void or unlawful, given OSC’s original statutory mandate focused on loans, loan guarantees, and technical assistance for critical technologies rather than equity ownership or oil ventures. Pentagon spokespeople have given mixed statements on whether OSC has authority to take equity. The deal has drawn justified scrutiny for stretching OSC’s original (and already collectivist, unethical) purpose (created in 2022 under Biden to support defense-critical supply chains like rare earths and semiconductors) into oil production in Venezuela after the ouster of Nicolás Maduro. Legal questions remain unresolved, with some officials citing the original statute and others pointing to a lack of clear congressional authorization for equity positions.
