We may not agree on everything, but even if you don't like what Trump was campaigning on, that is not what he is doing. Closing the border, deporting criminal aliens, stopping wars, America 1st, and MAHA, all combined to become MAGA. Trump has betrayed everyone.
His ham-fisted approach, has soured everyone on Deportations and DOGE. Even if you were in favor if this, procedure matters. Everyone has a God given (natural) right to due process. The constitution does not grant this, it recognizes it. The constitution of the United States, is the rulebook that ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICALS VOULENTARILY AGREE TO FOLLOW AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT, it applies only to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, and those individuals that compose it.
Originally the vote was more of an obligation, then a 'right'. With that right came compulsory service in the militia, and fire service. When women were first offered the right to vote, they turned it down. They didn't want to be drafted, or work as firefighters.
Under those conditions, the claim of self-governance can actually hold water (though it is still debatable, as free association does go out the window) We don't have a standing army, we have a militia. We take turns as public servants, and everyone serves (some time) in the bucket brigade. Same with police, either crowd funded, or volunteer.
All the efforts of the current administration are designed to grow the size of government, increase its power, and restrict our liberty. We went from a left right goose-step, to a dead sprint toward tyranny.
