Trump also is depleting the fuel reserves of the US, spiking up fuel and gas prices, and making anything that is shipped or depends on shipping become more expensive.
And, of course, Trump continues to spread the lie that for 47 (he’s upped that to 50 now) years, Iran has been a belligerent against the US, when it was the other way around, going back to 1953 when the US overturned the elected leadership of Iran.

Numerous reports note that the Ukrainian government is virtually unable to stop Russian missiles and drones, so depleted are their own arms and so sophisticated are the Russian arms. As a result, the government is not reporting the Russian strikes to the media. Danny Haiphong and Lawrence Wilkerson offer more on this and what seems to be in store, esp re the Russian fuse ending when it comes to NATO-European involvement w Ukraine.

VENEZUELA
The WSJ Sunday reported that Trump’s big “kidnap Maduro and take the oil, but claim it’s not a criminal endeavor” isn’t going so well. Trump’s been bragging about how much money the US has made off of Venezuelan oil since kidnapping Nicolas Maduro and his wife last January. He even said Monday that ,“to the victor goes to spoils”. But Venezuela’s oil industry remains under a state of disrepair because of years of U.S. sanctions.
And a recent earthquake that caused some $37 billion in damage didn’t help, which makes the country even harder to function. But Venezuela has faced production problems because its equipment has been in a state of disrepair. It’s been cut off from U.S. refineries. This is largely the result of a U.S.-led sanctions campaign, as journalist Anya Parmpil, of the Grey Zone, documents in her book, “The Corporate Coup.”
Sooo, although Trump’s financial scheme of Venezuela is opaque (he talks about all this money that the U.S. is making, but we don’t know exactly where that money is going — he said it was something that affected $15 billion, but that’s hard to verify) the bottom line is that Venezuela needs investment and it needs relief from ALL U.S. sanctions. U.S. sanctions have been lifted that allow it to sell some oil. But in terms of having the equipment and the parts to be able to make significant repairs to the decrepit oil infrastructure, that hasn’t fully happened yet. And then you have the fact that Venezuela has the kind of energy reserves that are hard to extract and need a lot more investment. And that’s just difficult when the country continues to live under the boot of the US and its heavy US sanctions.
Anya told Judge Napolitano shortly after the earthquake that Venezuela didn’t even have the heavy construction equipment needed to try and save lives from people trapped under the rubble because of US sanctions, and we noted that on Liberty Conspiracy Live. It’s a terrible situation, caused by the US govt and lack of property rights for Venezuelans and for others who want to trade with them without US meddling. That’s what happens when you dedicate so many resources, so many years to strangling a country and make it so weak that it’s vulnerable to things like what Trump did, which is kidnap its president. It’s going to be in a rough shape to deal with a disaster like a hurricane or a quake that costs $37 billion in damage. And the U.S. has provided some token amounts of aid and even sent over Israeli advisors for a photo op. But what Venezuela really needs is a relief from the sanctions that have made life very, very difficult. There have been some temporary US “sanctions” waivers, so Venezuela has been “allowed” to sell more oil rather above-board, one might say, instead of a more limited amount on the black market to China, then to final recpients. It can sell it directly. That’s helped in some ways. But again, we don’t know where the money has gone because Trump brags about taking it. And there’s very little oversight of this. Congress is missing in action.
Think about it: Trump is openly claiming that he controls the profits from the sales of oil of a foreign country, but we don’t even know where that money is going and what’s being done with it. And he claims it’s going back to the people of Venezuela, but again, no details at all to back up his claim.
At the close of this News Notes, we will present an overview of US “sanctions” against Venezuela, Cuba, and any Americans who want to trade with people from those nations. We will explain when they were imposed (unconstitutionally) and how much they are estimated to have cost.

How about he and others open their eyes to the fact that the CDC is immorally funded through taxation and is not sanctioned by their US Constitution? Why, in a political system purportedly constrained by the US Constitution, is there a govt-decided “Children’s Vaccine Schedule”? LINK In the United States, children’s vaccine requirements for school attendance are set by each state government (and the District of Columbia), not by the federal government. State laws establish which vaccines are required for entry into public and private schools (and often daycare/childcare facilities), the number of doses, enforcement mechanisms, and available exemptions. All states currently require certain core vaccines (typically including MMR for measles/mumps/rubella, DTaP/Tdap for diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis, polio, and varicella/chickenpox), though details vary by state. Additional vaccines (such as hepatitis B, hepatitis A, meningococcal, or others) are required in some states but not others.
The federal government (primarily through the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices/ACIP) issues recommendations for the childhood immunization schedule and provides guidance, but these are not mandates. States decide whether and how to adopt them for school entry.
All states allow medical exemptions. Most also allow non-medical (religious and/or personal belief/philosophical) exemptions, though a small number of states permit only medical exemptions.
Trump during the “pandemic” that never can be called such, threatened to withhold federal education grants to states if they did not mandate masks and other “protocols”. He also did not emphasize the virtually ZERO risk to kids of things like the COWABUNGA 19 “outbreak”.

Venezuela
US sanctions against Venezuela began in limited/targeted form around 2005–2006 (related to narcotics trafficking, lack of cooperation on counterterrorism, and an arms embargo). Broader measures escalated significantly later:
2014–2015: Congressional legislation (Venezuela Defense of Human Rights and Civil Society Act) and Obama’s Executive Order 13692 imposed targeted sanctions on individuals for human rights abuses, corruption, and antidemocratic actions.
2017 onward (under Trump): Major financial sanctions restricted Venezuelan government and PDVSA access to US financial markets and debt.
2019: Sanctions on PDVSA (state oil company), broader blocking of Venezuelan government assets, and restrictions that heavily impacted oil exports (historically a major revenue source, including to the US). Secondary sanctions and further designations followed.
As of mid-2026, various forms have been in place for roughly 20–21 years (targeted), with the more comprehensive economic/oil-focused measures lasting about 9 years (from 2017) or 7 years (from the 2019 oil restrictions). There have been periods of partial relief/waivers (e.g., under Biden for limited oil sales, and some post-2025/2026 adjustments), but core restrictions have largely persisted or been reimposed at times.
Estimated costs in blocked trade/economic impact:
There is no single official US government figure for “blocked trade.” Estimates vary widely by source, methodology, and attribution of causality (sanctions vs. oil price crashes, mismanagement, corruption, and policy failures). Key reported ranges include:
