Those who have been frustrated by the seemingly endless leftward, anti-Christian, anti-Biblical tilt of the Catholic Church since the 1960s – and, in particular, since the start of Francis’ Papacy, may find a glimmer of hope in knowing that the Archbishop of San Francisco is challenging Nancy Pelosi’s fraudulent claim to be a staunch Catholic.

And those familiar with the predatory, aggressive nature of the state in general -- and Nancy Pelosi’s willful quest for and acquisition of a position in it, in particular – might be interested in her “retort”…

As Adam Shaw reports for FoxNews Roman Catholic Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone announced Friday that Pelosi would be barred from receiving Communion, citing her pro-abortion stance as the reason.

“Cordileone has written to the California Democrat, informing her that she should not present herself for Holy Communion at Mass, and that priests will not distribute communion to her if she does present herself.”

Pelosi, like many abortion-pushing politicians, oft has mentioned her Roman Catholicism as if it’s a badge of honor, when, in fact, her hypocrisy is a disgrace.

Writes Archbishop Cordileone:

"A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others.  Therefore, universal Church law provides that such persons ‘are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.’"

And Pelosi goes far beyond “supporting” solely by rhetorical means. She openly uses the federal government to make others pay for abortions. She repeatedly has pushed for and secured tens of millions of dollars to go to abortion mill Planned Parenthood, and she has pushed to make businesses have to carry insurance that would pay for abortions. The abortion aspect of that is the most glaring immorality, but the aggression and assumption of power over other people’s property and work are fundamentally immoral, as well.

Notes Shaw:

“The Catechism of the Catholic Church is unambiguous on the question of abortion, both in procuring one and assisting in the practice: ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion,’ the catechism says. ‘This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable.’"

Perhaps Speaker Pelosi has been too busy reading coercive bills like Obamacare (which she claimed had to be passed before we could find out what was in it) to read the Catechism.

Shaw adds:

"’Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law,’ it says, before calling abortion and infanticide "abominable crimes.

It also declares that ‘Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life.’"

Strangely, the Pope has not defended the Catechism against Pelosi. In fact, he openly has told people to take the mRNA injections, despite their clear association with abortion in the development or testing process, and he has worked with rabid abortionista Chelsea Clinton to promote global socialism.

It is heartwarming to know that some who are involved with the Catholic Church will, like Archbishop Vigano, stand for the principles of it.

Even as people like Pelosi and Joe Biden stoop and grovel at the altar of the state -- the altar that venerates theft, coercion, aggression, and death.

Indeed, Pelosi’s response to Archbishop Cordileone’s decision shows her own blindness to (or dismissiveness of) her own immorality. Of this, the Associated Press reports:

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed back Tuesday on the decision by San Francisco's conservative Catholic archbishop to deny her Communion over her support of abortion rights, saying she respects that people have opposing views but not when they impose them on others.”

You read that correctly…

“NOT WHEN THEY IMOSE THEM ON OTHERS.”

That, literally, is what she does every day she is in office, and every second she spends promoting her political agenda. By its nature, that is what the state does – or, I should say, that is what the people claiming power under the title “state” do, for the state really is just a constant stream of aggressive people who either take office through direct military means or through “the vote,” backed by indirect military threats against those who might try to oppose the adoption of this illegitimate state power.

Pelosi imposes her will, while claiming it is the “will of the people.”

Such a claim is impossible, because the state does not and cannot “represent anyone.” By definition, the state (or polis) is non-voluntary. By its nature, it is forced on people. If its “blessings” were offered and accepted through voluntary means, the polis would not be a polis, but a business, and its operators would not be politicians – they would be peaceful entrepreneurs.

And, even IF the state were voluntary, the mathematics of the oft-spouted “representative” nature of that form of the state are such that actual “representation” is impossible, and the claims of it are made either in error or with malicious, deceptive intent.

Indeed, even if the state WERE voluntary, which it isn’t, no honest person could claim that everyone effected by the actions of the government also is “represented.” That’s not numerically possible, and the nature of politics is such that, after being elected, the politicians don’t check with everyone who “supported” them to see what those people might think.

And what if they could? How does one tax-eating politician, supposedly “representing” on average 600,000 people, come to each new “decision” on a bill, and STILL represent the opinions of those people?

Many of those folks not only never voted for the so-called “representative”, the very claim that those who are in the majority of that vote somehow can claim control over others is ludicrous.

Again, the whole thing is a fraud. The state is not voluntary. “Representation” in it is a smokescreen, and Pelosi’s statement stands out as a grand illustration of her attempt at a grand illusion.

She willingly calls herself a member of the Catholic Church. The religion is not imposed on her.

And she has the gall to try to flip the narrative, to portray the action of the Archbishop as him “imposing” his opinions on others.

One wonders if, someday, she will enter a Catholic church and enter a confessional booth to admit her sins.

If she does, she might be there for a long time.

And, for the record, I am a Christian, but not a member of the Catholic Church. Though some mistakenly believe I am Jewish, the surname Goldsmith is an Anglo-Saxon name, and our family is markedly half-English, half-Irish. Like many British and European surnames, Goldsmith is derived from the profession, like Naylor, or Smith. – Be Seeing You!
